It connects serial-based equipment to Ethernet through a combo 10/100/1000 Mbps copper or 100/1000 Mbps SFP port. The EDS5000 Series supports RS-232. RS-422 and RS-485. with serial data rates from 2400 to 921.6K Baud. The EDS5008 port mix includes (4) RS-232/422/485 software selectable RJ-45 serial ports and (4) RS-232 only RJ-45 serial ports.
