NETGEAR GS724TP Managed L2/L3/L4 Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) Power

Switches with Essential L2 Features for SMB NetworksNETGEAR Smart Managed Pro Switches offer powerful L2 and L2+/Layer 3 Lite features. great PoE functionality. and enhanced performance and usability. They are purposely designed for converged networks where voice. video. data are all carried on a single network platform. These switches are optimized for network efficiency. operational cost savings. and ease of management. These switches are the ideal solution even for the most advanced small and medium organizations looking for the best combination of features. performance. and value.Great choice of PoE optionsAs a leading provider of network equipment for SMBs. NETGEAR understands the importance [Read more...] of providing PoE options that can adapt to the business’s needs. whether in the hospitality. catering. education or retail domains.IEEE 802.3at PoE+PoE devices encompass VoIP phones. IP Security Cameras. Wireless access points. proximity sensors. door locks and other IoT devices. Wave 2 802.11ac access points and PTZ cameras increasingly require 30W (PoE+).Dedicated SFP Fiber UplinksDedicated SFP ports provide fiber uplinks without sacrificing any downlink Gigabit port. 4 SFP ports provide not only redundant uplinks. but can also build dual redundancy by a trunked uplink with link aggregation and failover.8 or 16 PoE+ ports from 75W to 240WCautious spender organizations can now deploy PoE+ devices connected to a fanless switch. the GS510TLP and its reasonable 75W power budget across 8 Gigabit ports. Others who buy infrastructure for the long term will prefer the GS510TPP and its 190W power budget across 8 Gigabit ports. or the GS418TPP Easy-Mount solution with 240W power budget across 16 Gigabit ports.24 or 48 PoE+ ports from 190W to 760WThe GS728TPv2 and GS728TPPv2 offer respectively 190W and 380W power budget across 24 ports of Gigabit Ethernet. The GS752TPv2 and GS752TPP offer respectively 380W and 760W power budget across 48 Gigabit ports. Temperature- and load-based fan-speed control combines accurate monitoring with minimized system acoustic noise. starting at 27.08dBA max at 25°C (77°F) ambient with GS728TPv2.Dynamic VLAN AssignmentIP phones and PCs can authenticate on the same port but under different VLAN assignment policies. Users are free to move around and enjoy the same level of network access regardless of their physical location in the network.Static RoutingA simple way to provide segmentation of the network with internal routing through the switch – reserving the router for external traffic routing only. making the entire network more efficient.Comprehensive IPv6 Support for Management. ACL and QoSBuild current network with future in mind. Ensure investment protection and a smooth migration to IPv6-based network without switch replacement.Build current network with future in mindEnsure investment protection and a smooth migration to IPv6-based network without switch replacement. Facilitate fast receiver joins and leaves for multicast streams. Save cost and improve network efficiency by ensuring multicast traffic only reaches designated receivers without the need of an extra Multicast router.Robust Security FeaturesBuild a secured. converged network with all types of traffic by preventing external attacks and blocking malware while allowing secure access for authorized users.802.1x authenticationDHCP FilteringPort-based security by locked MACACL filtering to permit or deny traffic based on MAC and IP addressesAuto Voice and Auto VideoAutomatic Voice over IP prioritization with Auto-VoIP simplifies most complex multi-vendor IP telephones deployments either based on protocols (SIP. H323 and SCCP) or on OUI bytes (default database and user based OUIs) in the phone source MAC address; providing the best class of service to VoIP streams (both data and signaling) over other ordinary traffic by classifying traffic. and enabling correct egress queue configuration. When deployed IP phones are LLDP-MED compliant. the Voice VLAN will use LLDP-MED to pass on the VLAN ID. 802.1P priority and DSCP values to the IP phones. accelerating convergent deployments.Comprehensive QoS FeaturesAdvanced controls for optimized network performance and better delivery of mission-critical traffics such as voice and video.Port-based or 802.1p-based prioritizationLayer 3-based (DSCP) prioritizationPort-based ingress and egress rate limitingDHCP SnoopingEnsure IP address allocation integrity by allowing only clients with specific IP/MAC addresses to have access to the network.Dual Firmware ImagesDual firmware image for transparent firmware updates / configuration changes with minimum service interruption.PoE TimerAllows IT administrators to increase network security. better utilize network resources and conserve energy by scheduling or remotely controlling on/off of POE ports.Protected PortsEnsure no exchange of unicast. broadcast. or multicast traffic between the protected ports on the switch. therefore. improve the security of you
