Sonnet TWIN25G-T5

Twin25G Thunderbolt 5 Ethernet AdapterIncredible Dual-port 25GbE Connectivity Over ThunderboltIf your post-production or bandwidth-intensive workflows have pushed past the limits of 10GbE the jump to 25GbE offers the speed you’ve been missing — often using the same optical cabling already in place. Sonnet’s Twin25G? T5 Thunderbolt™ 5 Adapter offers a cost-effective high-performance way to add ultra-fast 25GbE fiber connectivity to Apple M series Macs Intel Macs with Thunderbolt 3 and Windows or Linux computers with Thunderbolt 5 4 or USB4 ports.Affordable 25GbE Networking - Make the SwitchAs post-production workflows outgrow 10GbE new low-cost 25GbE switches make upgrading [Read more...] easier than ever — yet connecting a computer with Thunderbolt or USB4 ports to a 25GbE network has remained expensive. The Twin25G T5 Thunderbolt 5 Adapter changes that delivering fast affordable 25GbE connectivity to systems without PCIe slots.Compact. Nearly Noiseless.Adapter is small enough to comfortably fit on any desktop and quiet enough for use in noise-sensitive environments. You’ll hardly notice it’s there.Compact and Nearly Noiseless - Cool RunningSmall enough to easily fit in most workspaces Twin25G T5 is large enough to support proper airflow inside its case to enable the adapter’s temperature-controlled variable-speed fan to keep the adapter always running cool and quiet.Easy Connection - Includes Thunderbolt 5 Cable and SFP28 ModulesSimply install a driver connect the Twin25G T5 Thunderbolt 5 Adapter to your computer via the included 120 Gbps Thunderbolt 5 cable install the included SFP28 modules connect the adapter to the network switch or directly to 25GbE-enabled storage and then configure the adapter’s settings through the macOS Network control panel Windows Device Manager or Linux command line (or graphical utility).Intelligent Operation - Efficient PerformanceTwin25G attains high throughput performance with minimal host CPU load. The adapter’s smart controller has its own internal processing system with onboard memory to process TX/RX data while using few CPU resources. Once data appears in queues TX checksums are computed on the fly as data is transmitted; RX checksums are quickly verified and data is immediately passed directly to main memory. This independent controller action minimizes latency and avoids packet drops; your computer’s CPU is freed for other tasks.Secure Connections for High Performance - Thunderbolt 5 Cable and ThunderLok IncludedSonnet includes a Thunderbolt cable that supports Thunderbolt’s maximum bandwidth and is fully compatible with Thunderbolt 5 4 3 and USB4 computers. Sonnet also provides ThunderLok a Thunderbolt connector cable lock that prevents accidental cable disconnections.Twin25G T5 is built with the features and quality you expect from a high-performance Sonnet Ethernet adapter plus the Thunderbolt 5 interface you need for maximum performance. With 80 Gbps of bi-directional data speed — twice as fast as Thunderbolt 4 — and up to 120 Gbps for higher display bandwidth you'll revolutionize your productivity.More Than Just the Fastest External Interface AvailableTwin25G T5 features an ultra-high speed Thunderbolt 5 interface that delivers the PCIe bandwidth needed to support both Ethernet ports at maximum performance. While one Thunderbolt port is reserved for connecting your computer the secondary port enables connection of additional Thunderbolt or USB peripheral devices.Features:Adds High-Performance 25GbE Connectivity• Simply powerful way to add dual optical 25GbE connections to your computer.SFP28 Transceivers Included• High-performance adapter includes two 25GBASE-SR SFP28 transceivers.Backward Compatible• Adapter also supports 10GbE — enables you to integrate with 10GbE infrastructure now and upgrade your switch or shared storage system to 25GbE later. Two Thunderbolt 5 Ports• One port connects to computer; second port provides 15W for a Thunderbolt or USB device; or to connect an 8K display.Compact.
